Music On The Mezzanine

Tonight marks the second edition of Regina Public Library’s Music On The Mezzanine series. This evening, we are graced by Morgan Moats, a talented singer/songwriter hailing from Regina. Although I’ve listened to Morgan’s songs before, this is my first live experience of their performance.

As Morgan takes the stage and begins their set, their selection becomes an evident testament to why they were chosen for this event. Their musical prowess is truly awe-inspiring. Over the course of slightly more than an hour, Morgan treats the audience to a mesmerizing array of original songs.

Each of Morgan’s songs excudes both profound beauty and unflinching honesty. At certain moments, I found myself moved to the point of tears.

Reflecting on these initial two installments of Music On The Mezzanine, I am eagerly anticipating the upcoming performances.
